    Default The year was 1984

What happened in 1984 and how did it impact the history of so many Mark II's?
I have seen many mentions of "class of '84" but don't know the significance of it as it relates to our cars. Search results don't turn up much. What's the deal?

    Julian:
LCOC had documented histories on many Continental Mark II's prior to 1984. For some unknown reason, the tracking/histories were deleted or just stopped.
Consequently we have lost track of some cars since 1984.
When we find one of these cars, we celebrate by saying woohoo another one found from the class of 1984.
