    Default Hood hinge rebuild

I've forgotten who I used for the last two sets of hinge rebuilds.

    Who are you using?

Bill Miller said all he had was a number. The guy was a pain, but he did nice work.

I had the last hinges reworked by Rosen, but I don't know who he hired to do it.
The problem of the raised hood has improved with the new hinges but has not been completely eliminated. Even turning the hinges (this was advice from Mark Norris) has not completely solved the problem.

I am now wondering whether the slots in the body need to be widened a little downwards to completely solve the problem.

Did you hyper-extend the hood before tightening. That seems to help.

    Yes, I did.

Indeed, it seems to help but not 100 percent….

Is your cowl seal too stiff? I’ve received seals that are much harder than the originals. How is your door fit? If the door fit is off to the body but aligned to the front fender the hood might be off. Try lowering the hood stops to see if the drop completes. If it does the body may be off on the chassis.
