Glad to let you all know that Barry Wolk (no intro needed I'm sure) is now on board as a forum Historian joining Pat Marshall in that capacity. We are so lucky to have Pat who really works his butt off keeping track of cars and owners. Now with access to Barry's Mark II knowledge it can't get any better for a Mark II owner or enthusiast.
Now let me make clear that "Open to ALL" after a brief courtship has been dumped. Simply put it was stupid because if we don't have sponsors we won't have a forum. To make clear how we handle forum access I'm going to set out the new welcoming message to new forum members;
"Welcome New Member:
Our Forum exists solely by Sponsor donation. We have several sponsorship levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and you can sponsor for as little as $12 a year. No matter which level you choose, all Sponsors have access to ALL features of our forum.
Once a new user registers we assign the user to our 30 day "New Member" category. This gives you access to all forum features for 30 days without becoming a sponsor. It's our way of convincing you to become a Sponsor. After thirty days if you haven't become a Sponsor you will automatically be assigned as a Registered Member with access to General Discussion only.
No where else will you find the level of information and expert advice for owning, maintaining, driving and showing a 1956-57 Continental Mark II automobile. We're thrilled you have come our way. Our members stand ready to help and advise you with information you won't be able to find anywhere else.
If you have trouble viewing the forum Important. ----->Go to the settings section of your browser and delete (clear out) the memory cache. In Google Chrome it looks like this: "Clear browsing data-- Clear history, cookies, cache, and more" . All browsers have something similar.
