Screw In Headlight Bezel

I saw the below in Technical and Repair... I'm asking what did the screw hit after it goes through the bezel.... Thanks.

So I did what Ford SHOULD have done. Bezels are hard to find....If you are interested....the fender has three reinforcing tubes that you can see and drill a screw to. Remove the headlight, put bezel back....see the tubes drill through the bezel and mark the tube. Remove bezel, drill tube (don't drill into fender) Put bezel on.... I used tape to relocate all lines from first drill to final set.

Original.................Screw it! That was a poor design to say the least.
