View Full Version : Oil filter adapter
I am tired of my leaking and messy orig 56 cartridge oil filter and want to replace with a spin on conversion. Can anybody recommend a quality unit. None of the usual venders make a 1956 continental Mark II specific and was not sure if the standard y block model will fit thanks

It looks like Mark II Enterprises has what you want........................I think Mark II specific probably doesn't exist...368 Ford /Lincoln. I could be wrong, I was once before, I thought I was wrong but I wasn't.

Jim:
You are correct.
Since every Y-block 368 is universal, that should work. There is not a "Continental" oil filter adapter.

I know that the cartridge oil filter of the Mark II fits in a 292 cui Thunderbird from 1955, so I think, the parts are identical.

Were these parts manufactured at the same factory?
