New hood blanket installed

Wow kinda a tough job... Very awkward position but got it done.. My Orig blanket was completely deteriorated.. And falling apart.. It looks like the front fell into the fan once...got a replacement from Jack and it was hard to keep it tight the insulation material was a little thicker in different areas.. But looks a lot better... Next is the battery?..1842718428

It looks like the front of the hood blanket does not go all the way to the front of the hood except in the center section. On my hood, which is also a reproduction but not from Jack, the entire front of the blanket is actually tucked inside the metal skin of the hood. It probably offers a little more support to the hood in terms of drooping at the front.

Which way was the original hood, tucked in the front or ending shorter on the sides?

It goes all the way to the front and tucks in but the repo is a lot thicker much more insulation than the original
