In 1936 my Dad was hired to teach at Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, CT. Henry II graduated in 1936, so was not a student of Dad's. Benson was in 1938, William Clay in 1943 as I recall. They would have been students of my Dad's if they studied Latin, German or European History.
After WW II the Ford Family endowed the building of the Edsel Ford Memorial Library at Hotchkiss (http://www.hotchkiss.org/library/mission_history.aspx) and in 1957 my Mother became Librarian until 1970 when she retired.
In mentioning this library to the docents at the Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe, they admitted to not knowing there was such a place!!
William Clay Jr. also attended Hotchkiss, as did several Firestones, which crosses to the Ford family, again.
Just trivia, but possibly of interest.
