There is a 1956 Lincoln Capri that has sat in a fence row for decades. The interior and glass is torn up, and body is rusty. Most everything under the hood looks to be there.
Is there any compatible parts worth salvaging to be used on the Continental later?

The whole driveline less the drive shaft is the same. Transmission, PS, engine and converter as well as the vent scoops are all getting very hard to find part for as well as diff, brakes, booster and the like all have stuff you could use. Window motors and seat motors as well.

Anything that is useable for a capri restoration that could help offset costs on your continental restoration. Rare parts can open doors to others that are similar minded...

Note that Keith is looking for steering box parts that should be the same on the Capri.

Yes the brake parts such as the drums if they are not worn out. Seems to me the ball joints are the same and if they were replaced or have very little wear they would be great to grab. These are hard to locate as well. Power window switches look different but might have the same internal parts. Grab em anyway and oh yes the Air conditioning compressor and all things related to the A/C. Some evaporator parts etc. might and probably are different but are still worth grabbing for the Lincoln collectors.

Thanks for the responses. The brakes and steering are there, but partially in the dirt so won't know the condition yet. The window switches are destroyed from years of rain. Going to try to get the entire car home. Will have pictures then.
