2020 Mark II recent arrival in New Zealand

27812. This Mark II in photo on hoist has recently arrived in New Zealand,looks like California plate. Has white interior with gray inserts. Have asked shipping company if they can get Vin, they are asking new owner if ok to do so. This arrived in about Nov 2022, but would have been brought earlier on as shipping now takes a good 3 months or more. Hard to read the plate. Challenge for John & Pat to find the vin, regards Graham

I emailed Advanced Four Wheel Equipment and they forwarded my email to the owner. Now we wait and see.

I had done the same John to AFW Equipment, they told me the interior colors, plate looks like California 3 ?P652, havent found any Mark II that have been for sale with this interior color yet. regards Graham

That interior trims that match that description were interiors

Gray and white interiors were not a popular combination with white Mark II's. There were only around twenty of them with white and gray interiors. In reviewing them, I found only one with any recent California history and that was back in 2004.

However, this means nothing if the car was not originally white and the original interior was not gray and white.

2032 was eliminated bc it was a Collins convertible conversion.

So there are some inconsistencies here.
I do think portions of this data plate could have been photoshopped.

This car has a California license plate, I agree with you that this car is most likely C56B2020 or 2020.
Do you know if this car has front bumper guards?

Look a little closer. It was 3E6L! Also, the interior was changed to 1E6L (all leather [Maybe?])

3F61 and 3F6L are not a valid trim codes.
The photos that Graham posted are consistent with 2020:
14-1E6L-1212-3
No front bumper guards.
I cannot explain the inconsistentices of the data plate pictured.
All I can say is: it could possibly be a photoshopped plate from another car with the correct VIN displayed. Or maybe the factory just made the data plate with an incorrect trim code. Or maybe there was a trim change as Pat suggested. Or a combination of the above. I don't know.
Something is a miss here; I just can't identify what it California plate 3WHP652
We can run the plate if we can accurately read it.

I am convinced it is 2020. Maybe, in time, we'll figure out what's up with the data plate.
