I may as well let the cat out of the bag. After building a convertible with the rear quarter window that looks fabulous with the top up, I said my next project would be to build a retractable. I have learned a lot about these cars during the convertible build with some trial & error decisions. I now own a fully operational 1957 Ford Fairlane Retractable as well as 3 Mark II parts cars. The snow is all but gone, so I will be bringing home the 3 Marks in about 3 weeks from their hiding spot. I had a 1/18 scale model of both cars to chop up, so I have already built most of the car in my mind. Some input from forum members on authenticity, colors, modern upgrades etc etc would be welcome. My enjoyment has always been the build and owning many, many different and beautiful cars throughout my life. I will probably go the Barrett-Jackson route when done. Of course I'll drive it for some time first. This will be my last build, so I want it to be my best.
