    Default Axle vent

I dont see an axle vent in the axle tube of this car. I thought there would be one where the rear flex hose is at the axle, but from looking at the excellent restoration going on in Hanover, I see his is the same as mine...so are these axles unvented? if so, that seems like it will be hard on seals...

If you use your finger as a dip stick and only fill to your first knuckle that leaves room for expansion. Too much axle dope ruins rear shoes when the drain in each platter gets plugged. When it’s open excess dope runs down the exposed backside of the brake platter.

Now there's a scientific method if I have ever seen one! I have sausages for fingers so I will talk the Mrs into borrowing one of her digits! Thank Barry...you're the best.
