Brake pedal noise

Took the car for a little ride today and when I press the brake pedal down it sound like I stepped on a cat. Even when I'm at a red light and take a little pressure off the pad it sound like a sick cat...but if I mash the pedal all the way down...no noise at all.

Anyone ever have this happen

Do you have a vacuum gauge? Could be a leak.

20" when I ran the car and barely moved when i pressed the brake...weird noise for sure

You may be leaking brake fluid into the booster causing it to make noise. Check to see if any fluid is dripping from the drain hole at the bottom of the booster back about 1/4” from the firewall.
